From what I gather its a philisophical, realistic, class about death and the soul... if their is one. Give hands on learning a new meaning (not joking).

Read for yourself, its descriptive (IE could be disturbing).

This will tell you all you need to know!

The Chain Links on the ammo are very sturdy allowing them to be reused.

The trigger has two actions, single action and full auto, the single action was used to simulate a single rifle. This tactic was used to draw the enemy into the field of fire, while the thought it was just one rifleman.

This guy like the M60 has a distinctive sound. The MG 34 makes a spraying sound and upon letting up of the trigger it makes a shhhhhuck metallic clacking noise.

The M60 makes that same sort of noise, but its initial fireing sound is a deep shooooook. Firing it prolonged it sounds much like a chinook starting its rotation.

The worm is not part of Tequila.

This is a common misnomer, do to the fact that Mezcal is native to Mexico and only the best is brewed in the state Mexican of Oaxaca.

They add scorpions to the bottle along with worms. There are laws against putting bugs and decorations inside Tequila.

Agave:This is the species plant that Mezcal, Pulque, and tequila are made of.

Tequila: is made from blue agave, and in the United States national tequila day is on July 24.

Aquardiente:Burning Water, a name for all of the drinks that burn.

Pulque: A drink commonly reffered to as a beer, but it is a lesser relative of Mezcal

I know that this is videosift, and not some PC hardware forum, but it is the only real forum i am a member of. So here is my problem, my usb - mini usb cord, which i left plugged into the front of my new PC actually shocked me! not a bad shock, but equivalent or slightly more shocking then a 9v battery to the tongue, but this was my arm!

Being the fool i am, i tested again, wondering if the pins inside are fudged, but upon touching only the outermost shell of the mini usb cord to my arm, the same thing occurred.

So to all the video sift hardware wizes, is this normal, or is something seriously wrong with my new PC? I know that usb carries something like 5v, but on the outermost shell????

With my video count standing at a very iconic 999 video posts, I feel it's time to take stock of my time and my experience here on VS.

The place really has changed a lot from the days when it was all green and orange, and it was a small tight knit group of people posting videos for pretty much each other. Channels came and went, there was some celebration when traffic numbers were broken and VS got featured in PC World.

Is it better? Well there is way more people, much more videos, more channels and tags then you can shake a stick at, comments posted by the second rather then by the hour. Whether is better or not is not for me to exclusively say, as people enjoy this website immensely, a testament to what Dag hit on when he came up with it, to Lucky with his modifications and eventually self coded CMS, and James for the earlier days when he used to Admin it.

But I feel its not the same, I feel its too big, its become a way station for all the videos around the internet rather then being exclusively quality based. But that was going to happen eventually anyway, there is a reason the Billboard and Box Office is so meaningless now, because they all operate on lowest common denominator factors. It's unavoidable no matter how much we would like to think otherwise. In a democratic structure we are all burdened to follow the Bell curve. We have overshot Dunbar's number here a long time ago. This is not a criticism its simply the nature of this free form beast. I don't really see a way this could have been avoided.

It's been fun for me, but I think it's time to move on. I think the medium of Internet video is still in premature growth, from hosts like Youtube, to way stations like VS, internet video will become categorized and edited in a magazine format in the future, an extension of the channels system we used to have back in VS 2.0.

With that belief me and Mink along with a few sifters have started our own site, small and cultist, exploring our own interests. Find it at http://www.videocu.lt.

It's been a great ride, I may come back and comment here and there.

I came, I saw, I posted, and all I got was a lousy t-shirt.

Riot cop pleez to have you bring it on

I am pleased as punch to report that I cast the tenth vote on Farhad’s last sifted submission, thus making him the very FIRST sifter to get 1000 STARS! Yeah, you better believe it baby. That crazy Uzbek has earned one thousand stars, which is nothing less than phenomenal. Check out his new bling: A ~~gold~~ bronze crown! How cool is that!?

To boot, he just recently passed mlx and is now the third highest-ranked member here. Still not impressed? Well then go to his profile page and learn what he’s about: The obscure. Check out his videos, and you’ll see that Farhad got to where he is the hard way, i.e., by posting obscure videos, which by their nature will generally have a limited appeal. Regardless of any video’s marketability he posted them anyway, because he has an eye for quality.

What do I like most about his videos? First I must say that I consider him to be a member of the Sift’s Holy Trinity of awesome eclectic music. (JAPR and Eklek are the other two members.) Now don’t get me wrong; I have found tons of great music from many, many members, but it seems that Farhad, along with JAPR and Eklek, have delighted me most with musical selections that I know I otherwise would never have heard had it not been for them. But that’s not all:

- He’s a cinephile extraordinaire, knowledgeable of films from around the world.
- He studies politics, and is more knowledgeable of American politics than most people I know (which are virtually all Americans, mind you).
- He knows about military history and hardware, better than 99% of the general public.
- He’s a thoughtful and incisive commenter, having earned 23 stars for applauded comments.

I could go on, but now I believe it’s time for us to applaud this sifting stalwart. Give it up for Farhad, the T1000 of VideoSift. (Oh yeah, he’s also made of liquid metal, and can kill you with stabby appendages.)
